It’s the end of 2011 and with it comes a lot of end of year polls and predictions. Here’s one that may be of interest to gamers…
SodaHead.com has released the results of a poll asking consumers which product was the Best New Tech Gadget released this year. Apple took the top two spots, as the iPhone 4S was the winner with 39% of the vote, followed by the iPad2 with 25%. Rounding out the top five were the Kindle Fire (17%), Nintendo 3DS (12%) and the Nook Tablet (7%).
While the 3DS only garnered 12% in this vote, the system had a lot of press coverage since its release – both good and bad. Let’s take a look at a review of one of the most popular 3DS games of the year:

I did my personal approach to several friends. iPhone 4S is their favorite or most-wanted gadget of 2011. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Nintendo 3DS came in next.
The problem with a poll like that is that it’s only on one website. I’d like to see a more widespread poll.
